This video shows the manufacturing process of the odyssey battery.

Odyssey, the extreme battery.
The combination of extreme power and performance makes ODYSSEY® batteries perfect for a range of applications, including auto/LTV, marine, commercial, racing and powersports. ODYSSEY batteries deliver twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries!

The Odyssey battery ingeniously uses absorbed glass mat (AGM) technology to offer, in one box, the characteristics of two separate batteries. It can deep cycle as well as provide enormous cranking power.

These batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250A for 5 seconds as well as 400 charge/discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge (DOD). A typical starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) battery can do one or the other, but not both.

Odyssey AGM batteries will do both - provide short duration high amperage pulse or low rate long duration drains.

  • That battery he is holding in the beginning of the video is likely empty or the presenter is a very strong individual.

  • @OdinsCloud, You are right. These batteries are no joke and very heavy. We sell them on our ebay store: Drivetrain_parts.

  • ~Terrific sales-presentation on EnerSys-inc's. Odyssey vehicle-battery mr.Essig, --really appreciate the thoughtfully revealing information you've so intelligently provided. Have long been a user of the spool-wound Optima/AMG-batteries, -but seems their quality has significantly slipped somehow since they were bought-out, and now made in Mexico instead of USA i understand (-likely quality control problems). Therefore, we will be looking to see if this Odyssey/AMG-battery is affordable priced.!!

  • @AryanKnight, If you have any questions about the durability and power of these batteries, feel free to call us at 800-216-1632. Or visit our ebay store: Drivetrain_parts

  • @OdinsCloud You'd have to be a very strong individual..to hold a 50 lbs battery like that..

  • These are military grade batteries...Made in the USA...

  • These Batteries are not cheap but they are in my opinion the best offered. If you have an off-road vehicle, A boat or any other severe service application, this is the battery to get. I have a group 65 version and it is rated to supply 930 CCA, I load tested it and it yielded 1050 CCA!! They can take vibration, they deliver the most power for the longest time for their size, they cant spill and they last. Use this battery when you need the best!

  • Thanks for posting this video! This manufacturing process represents the beautiful culmination of untold hours of voluntary human cooperation and dedication.
