Paul Specht & His Orchestra, Vocal by Johnny Morris (? is it him, singing in a duett?) I'm Following You (From: Its A Great Life), Columbia 1929
NOTE: Paul SPECHT (1895 1954) was an American dance bandleader popular in the 1920s. Born in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Specht was a violinist, having been taught by his father Charles G. Specht, a violinist, organist, and bandleader. He attended Combs Conservatory in Philadelphia, and led his first band in 1916. He signed with Columbia Records in 1922, playing both with a larger dance ensemble and with a smaller, more jazz-oriented unit called The Georgians, with Johnny Morris as a singer. Specht's ensemble was the first orchestra to broadcast for the RCA and was the first ensemble to film after the end of the silent era. In 1929, Specht was asked to play at the inauguration of Herbert Hoover, chosen over Paul Whiteman. He continued to be popular into the 1930s and 1940s. Paul Specht died in 1954 at the age of 59 in New York City.
I bought this record in Stirling in 1986! It may be from 1929 but to me it's only 23!

You are right about some of these people, but Claudette Colbert is famous for, if nothing else, the hilarious scene in "It Happened One Night" when she stops a car by exposing her leg while "fixing" her stocking.
