  • Saw your doc at Tribeca a few months ago and was moved. I'm from NYC and used to visit New Orleans every year before Katrina. One time when I was there I saw a brass band coming down Canal playing 50 cents "In Da Club." Everyone was 2nd lining, singing, playing an instrument or getting involved somehow. I started crying, and I never cry. I had never seen such a spontaneous outburst of human celebration and joy. That moment changed my life. The world needs New Orleans. I hope it comes back.

  • Oh, yes!! This is the documentary I've always dreamed of, the one I want everyone who doesn't know New Orleans, especially Black New Orleans, to see.

When is this film coming out? I cannot wait!

  • Awesome

  • Disneyland is cool and all. But, you should really take an opportunity to visit the city if you can. I think a good time to go is durinig the annual Jazz and Heritage Festival in April.

  • We learned in our American Black History Class about the difference between the Spanish & French Slavers & the English. This is what made the difference in New Orleans and why It has so much beauty and African Influence still in the culture. Lots of Intermarriage between Africans , French, Spanish & Natives as well! I have not been there but the French Quarter part of Disneyland near Pirates of the Carribbean was always my favorite. Hopefully I can see the real N'Orleans one day.

  • My home! My love! New Orleans is in my heart and soul ALWAYS!

  • My pleasure.

  • thanks, tremedoc!
