"Feathers" (Hale Smith) performed by Eric Dolphy released on "Out There" (Prestige Records, 1960). Eric Dolphy (Flute, Alto Saxophone, Bass Clarinet) Ron Carter (Cello, Bass) George Duvivier (Bass) Roy Haynes (Drums)
My favorite track on this great great great album...Dolphy can play very slowly with a fantastic phrasing and then takes another outstanding solo....this man was a musical genius....
My god. A perfect trip... today young people close themselves in pubs and use drugs... why? Because they don't know jazz music and Eric.
