Okay, so who hasn't been curious enough to look up the original review? I thought this song could have potentially been in poor taste, but when I read the review, Phil Daoust was asking for it. For one thing, the review makes him look like an idiot; he obviously doesn't understand irony. He also insults the fans, but most importantly, his last sentence is nowhere near professional critiquing. It is hateful and completely uncalled for. So I think this song is completely appropriate.

that the song is serious. he's mentioned in interviews and documentaries about how much it affected him and basically how much he hates phil daoust for his shitty review. its funny because he probably does mean it, just obviously isn't actually going to do anything bad to phil. the other guy you were arguing with was completely correct with his statements.

He (or she) literally stated no opinion of whether the song was funny or not. He just gave arguments for why this song can be considered appropriate. Maybe you just wanted to state your opinion, but you should have just wrote a simple comment instead of making a seeming irrelevant reply.
