  • If any of you are already enlisted into the USMC DEP or are thinking about it, be sure to read through the Future Jarheads website. It is a website made by a Marine for future Marines and filled with good solid info that you need to know before enlisting. You can Google "futurejarheads" or you can use the link on my profile page. OOH RAH!!

  • ill be swearing into the dep in a couple weeks OORAh! cant wait!!!

  • december 12, 2011, i will be standing right there

  • 9 more months before ima be right there too.

  • You know, I can deal with all the yelling, shouting, and all. I can withstand it all. I usually shrug it off and do whatever they told me to do without question. It took me 3 long damn years since I grad in 2008 (which I would of joined back then until my father forced me to go to College first then military later.)

    :s

  • @edxum They give you a year to prepare yourself emotionally, physically, and mentally before going to basic training. They'll let you stay where you live for a year, but you have to go to your recruiting station everyday (i think) and do some physical testings at the same time (i think).

I'll be doing the DEP this year too. Idk which ones I'll be going as a Reservist or Active Duty Marine. So I got time to prepare before going to the Military just like my father when he was in the US Navy.

  • wait so is the delayed entry program somewhere you live at and they train you?
