Home for the holidays. In this case, "home" is a giant oak tree outside U.C. Berkeley's Memorial Stadium. Demonstrators have been living in the tree to protest the university's plan to raze the entire grove of 80-year-old oak trees for a new gymnasium. Now, a court order says anyone who helps or feeds the tree sitters could be thrown in jail -- including the mothers and grandmothers bringing them Thanksgiving dinner.

screw these ridiculous hippy tree-huggers. WHY DONT THEY GO SAVE A RAINFOREST????? instead they have to make up lies about the grove being an "ancient burial ground" which has been disproven and they have to hold up a project that would do the university and the city a lot of good. If you planted a tree in your backyard, should you be able to cut it down? the UC planted these trees when they built the stadium ~80 years ago. Screw the hippies, Go Bears
