According to what Steve told me, this particular practice was the 3rd recording after having put in a new set of 'NOS' Mullard tubes, EL-34s. He said his amp never sounded better He said all distortions immediately sounded better. Good luck finding those tubes at a decent price these days. Something like $500. if you can find authentic, New, old stock Mullards..
