Thats a GD 2500 nice rig they also got a GD 3000 all they do is irrigation wells in florida direct mud untill they lose circulation an then switch to reverse air large diameter drill pipe 6 5/8'' an 10'' drill collars its got a 10'' kelly an 6'' swivel and 100ft derrick so you can pull doubles. sweet rig.

As I said in my other reply, it's a big hole. It was also the rig they had available at the time. Yeah, it's quite a monster, and it was a fascinating operation to watch.
