This is a project I did for my Motion Graphics class. The assignment was to create a 20-second opening sequence. Several parameters to animate were given and whatnot, but I'll save you the jibber-jabber on that.

I created mine as the opening to the theoretical idea that if Blue Man Group were to publish a DVD of their theatrical show, this could be used. If you haven't seen the show live, as people enter the theatre, three blue frames containing projections of fractals are the only things lit/highlighted on stage. I started it off with this - perhaps it could be part of the DVD's menu. Then the same music used for audience entry hits and begins my video. The LED sign simulations are also intended, as LED signs have a recurring and almost essential role in the production. At the end, it goes into the first skit of the show, Shadow Drumming. Essentially, the animation would run right up to and blend in with the Shadow Drumming skit.

I had a lot of fun with this, and even tried adding in a bit of a "Blue Man" touch with the humor of the outsider/out-of-place item (i.e. the "Dexterity" crack, in this case). I just wish I had a better resolution copy of the paint drumming video I used.
