You can see the label of "the sauce" at 5:53
It's "Classico Tomato Basil Sauce"

I like how she said "now we turn on the gas", and it's an electric stove!

My mother knows this one. She won't make it, but she remembers it. You ate it because you were too poor to have real meat and no one would admit they had to eat it.

What type of sauce did she add at 5:15? Was that spaghetti? Tomato? Salsa?

Thank you very much. I'm sure this will come in handy as the era of hope&change rolls on and we all lose our jobs.

@justinhoffma
God bless her soul.
My Dad grew u during the depression and died 5 yr's ago. I miss him everyday.
He would have been as old as Clara if he was still alive.
Dad told me all about what it was like growing up during the depression down in New Jersey. Dad used to get into FIGHTS with other children in the alley over collecting broken wooden fruit crates, which he would take home to feed his family's cold water flat that they lived in.
No wood.
No heat!

well it's not really such a poorman's meal. i often eat that. potatoes and onions are really good. ok i don't eat hod dogs but i get some chicken. ok some salad too.
it's quite a good cheaper meal. perfect for a student.
the problem is when you have to eat the same food over and over again.
