A three-inch hissing cockroach isn't everybody's idea of the perfect pet. But bug-lovers who own Madagascar hissing roaches--or touch them at the petting zoos where they're becoming fixtures--should be aware that the insects can trigger mold allergies, according to Ohio State research.
@nj10108 Speaking of curing cancer, I read in a book about 20 years ago that roaches can cure cancer by eating cancer-causing cells. Don't remember if he specified the kind or roaches in general. I would sponsor any research that would reveal anything good about roaches and encourage people not to kill them, after seeing them persecuted on TV and in real life for 40 years. Other good things: predict hurricanes; pollunate plants; gentle; pretty colors; cute, wavy antennae; etc.

Ha ha, it's actually funny to see how proud this loser is. Is this legitimate or is this a joke? I don't go to Ohio State University, but if they legitimately posted this, that's sAD. If this is their proud example of their best research, they better lay off academics and stick with football.

Research? How the heck is this research? The sad part is some stupid college probably spend thousands and thousands of our tax dollars to come to the LIFE-CHANGE, CANCER-CURING, AWE-INSPIRING conclusion: wash your hands after handling bugs. What college sponsored this kind of absolute rubbish.

I know it is research, but gee, clean your hands after you handle one. Why wouldn't you?
