UMass Lowell nutritional sciences undergraduate student Stephanie Tasiopoulos talks about her "mini-internship" experience at UMass Lowell General's Dietetic Department. The internship focuses on integrating practical experiences in dietetics, and provides exposure to two significant areas of food service: management and dietary clinical applications. For students to pursue a career in dietetics, a formal internship is required consisting of volunteering in the field, and satisfactory completion of didactic coursework.
