Ayutthaya, Thailand Flood Emergency, October 12th, 2011 Part 2

The pictures that are displayed here are of the flood presently going on in Ayutthaya Thailand. Most of the central city area is nearly underwater and power has been disconnected in the area due to a few deaths that occurred from electrocution. Many of the residence that have not evacuated are getting around by boat or raft, and basically anything they can get their hands on. Many of the ancient temples around Ayutthaya city are also nearly underwater. This part begins with the food distribution, medical aid station and refugee center near the main highway connecting the city. Then it proceeds to the center of the flooded city via boat.

My thoughts an prayers are with the good people of Ayutthaya and all throughout Thailand. I spent 3 months living at the Krungsri River Hotel and am interested in seeing that side of the river. Also Rojana Industrial park where I worked in the Noramerica Factory is under water. I met many good people while I was there and wish the best for them durring this challenging time.
