i lived there for 3 months last year. i found an apartment for about 400 a month, which was expensive especially since it was a crappy one, but playa is expensive. I would say check out classifieds there and there is a website, which i cant remember right now, that advertises all sorts of places to live. beers are like 3 bucks at least, and the cheapest jack and coke I found was 5 bucks at Mezcalinna. Like I said, I think playa is expensive, but I had a blast.

hey everybody, I'm mexican but i study in Canada. I've also lived in Italy and the US and I'm thinking about living in Playa for about a month this summer. Kind of with an alternative idea. I love parties and I DJ so hopefully that can work out. I'm not planning to work there neither am I considering staying in a hostel. Do any of you who have been there longer than a week can recommend me how to find a place and such? How about prices for drinks and all that?
