Early commercial for Geritol promoting its health enhancing effects. The announcer reads a written testimonial from a Geritol user. This testimonial may have been real. However, in those days professional writers sometimes wrote these testimonials.

That's Bob Warren, who usually "pitched" Geritol [a product of Pharmaceuticals, Inc.] on "THE RED SKELTON SHOW", "TO TELL THE TRUTH", "TWENTY ONE" and finally, "THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW" during the '50s and '60s. Eventually, their slogan became "Feel Stronger Fast!".

I wonder if Geritol contained alcohol too? When he said "It tastes good too!" It reminded me of I Love Lucy and her famouse Vitametavegamin line "It's so tasty too! Just like candy! "

I liked it when Kelly Bundy was making commercials for a drinkable diet aid, and had to say, "It tastes good too," when her face made it clear she wanted to puke.
