@paulomaya My dad and Carl both went to Edison High School here in Tulsa, Ok. Carl was a few years younger, and would go listen to my dad playing with bands around town. Carl soon was playing with all the local bands that my dad also played with. My dad went to L.A. shortly after Leon Russell and J.J. Cale and all the other Tulsa musicians. He played with Leon and Cale until he came back to Tulsa in 63'. Carl went to L.A. and played with all the same people that my dad had been playing with.
