Best ethnic restaurant in Helsinki is Korea House, Mariankatu 19 in Kruununhaka (www.koreahouse.fi). It´s a hidden treasure which is hard to find because it´s little bit away from the Helsinki´s busiest streets. It´s especially popular for Korean tourists which are nowadays flying directly from Soul to see the all the wonders of Helsinki Town.

  • I heard from the guys who have eaten Korean food in Seoul that Korea House´s food is ok but nothing much to compared the food you can get there. But as I said here in Helsinki it´s the best ethnic restaurant. When I go to Asia I always eat the local food. It´s too spicy for most Finns.

  • Finnish food is perhaps not best in the world and the quality of Asian restaurants in Helsinki is poor. Helsinki is very quiet place for people from Asia and here is not much to see or do. And of course Koreans like to go eat the food of their home country. So do many Finns abroad when they visit Finnish restaurants in Spain and Thailand. Your kimchi video is great. They are selling kimchi in Korea House. Next time I must buy it and try kimchi sandwiches at home!

  • @ToxicXRaver There are two songs played in the restaurant on video

이장희 그건 너 (Lee Jang Hee - It's of you)

이태원 솔개 (Lee Tae Won - (a black) Kite = ( Milvus migrans) )

it doesn't be fetching url from youtube of those songs,so that you would try to meet those songs copying the hangul(Korean Character) above 이장희 그건너 and 이태원 솔개,Enjoy those songs and have a wonderful day ^_^

  • @littlemonyou If you're talking about expats who are in a country for a long period of time, I can understand being a little homesick and wanting some comfort food but if you're only going to be in a foreign country for a few days or a couple of weeks, I'd want to try as many of the native dishes as possible, not try to seek out American food all the time.

  • @Tamar1973 When koreans in abroad, they easily miss their own country food. especially Spicy food like Kimchi. :)

  • This place has the best Daeji Bulgogi I've ever eaten, anywhere. Seriously, the spicy and at the same time sour dish is so great that whenever I go to Korea House I never eat anything else than that godly Daeji Bulgogi. I just wish I knew how to make it myself... I've tried several online recipes for Daeji Bulgogi but none of them has come even close to that served at the Korea House...

Best asian restaurant in Helsinki for sure. Not too expensive either. I seriously recommend this place.

  • What's the song?

  • O..I didn't know that there's korean restaurant in Helsinki.. by the way it's interesting to see the streetcars.. :D

  • Interesting video! That bibimbap looks really weak. If I ordered bibimbap and they brought that out, I would send it back to the kitchen and yell at the owner. And the meat dish looks more like dwegi gogi(pork in spicy marinade) not bulgogi(thinly sliced beef marinated with a soysauce derived marinade).

  • See, I don't really understand that. When I visited Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore, I tried to stay away from the American restaurants because I can eat that stuff back home.
