This is a tutorial to make a similar synth to the one heard in Skrillex's tracks. This is just the raw synth, resample a bassline and add some distortion and FX for best results!. Automate the attack on Envelope 1 for some really nasty sounds!

  • To all the people asking why would we want to sound like Skrillex? We dont want to sound like Skrillex, we want the knowledge of how his growls are produced so we can make our own unique sound. Our tutorials not only help everyone shape a sound but learn about Massive along the way.

  • Why would you wanna sound like skrillex?

  • Who wanna sound like Skrillex? He's a totally shit fucking cunt who singlehandedly killed a genre of music

  • @RogueKovu yes i do know what you mean now, and your right, being original in music production is key for success in the industry, but i usually observe how the tutorial maker is making the synth and then i tweak it to sound like i want it. i also learn things from it the tutorials and it gives me motivation. and shows me how to do more things in the end with the certain plugin

  • @MusicByNickFink my comment wasn't intended to be anti skrillex/ anti dubstep. Though I could see where the confusion may come into play.. What I mean by it is you shouldn't spend time copying someone elses sound. You should learn your way around your DAW and plugins and find the sound that works best for you. I don't think people want to hear skrillex (excision, datsik, dr. P, flux etc) sloppy second wannabees. They want something original and new. You know what I mean?

  • @RogueKovu if you don't wanna sound like skrillex why are you even on this video?

  • the way you make your tutorials is really great. I really appreciate that you can follow along with the tutorial without having to pause all the time to fix your own synth.

    :D

  • @ThisIsLifted I'm pretty sure he's using Cubase 5

  • DAAAA NAAAA DAAAAA DAAAAAA

  • @NizmoTutorials What program do you use to record your stuff?!

  • hey look what i made using massive monster kill-night terrors
