Many people criticized Sarah Palin for not aborting her child with Downs Syndrome . Adolf Hitler had a similar view regarding birth defects . If anyone wonders if this is okay try asking a person with a birth defect if they would like to end it all . On the contrary most people with disabilities have a pretty good outlook on life . They have overcome much and can teach us much about living . Many people with Downs Syndrome lead independent productive lives .

It seems to me that everyone thinks the main reason for aborting these fetuses is because the parents don't feel it deserves to live. Before you automatically assume people are thinking that, why don't you take a closer look at the person's financial situation

I am prochoice, however I support and fully understand aborting a disabled baby. and before you give me the whole "they are happy with life" Im disabled myself, so I have some insight. I dont consider a fetus a baby.

Aborting a baby who has problems...it's mean & cruel.... but when thinking of the long term...who's gonna love that kid if you were to die? Who's gonna feed, house, or clothe him/her?

I think it's cruel to knowingly give birth to children who are complete burdens on our society. The world is tough enough as it is, I can't understand why someone would want to introduce that to the world, but hey, that's fine, just don't hold your hand out for support. It was your choice to have the kid, now support it for the rest of its life, because it won't support itself, that's for sure.

That was written by the UN, right? The whole UN is a joke; they never take any decisive action, nor do they defend human rights. You have no right to brand people with any gene as being anything less than fully human, deserving of all the legal protections we have.
