@RapedByRepublicans washed up? both rjj and bhop are still fighting whereas calzaghe is retired. he was at the end of his career aswell at that point. He has also defeated chris eubank who is a boxing legend. Stop getting butthurt just because it's a brit who holds the best record ever.

I wanted so badly for the only two universally recognized supermiddleweight champions of all time (now calzaghe and ward) to have both been brits (despite being a yank myself, I just thought it would be kind of neat, especially in the sense that it would kind of back up carls trash talking to calzaghe, who was most certainly better than carl, but... carl's had the balls to fight people better than him and in america at that. Calzaghe never did that. He fought a washed up RJJ and B-Hop)

I mean, really? I think that Froch should move up, with his lack of speed, sturdy chin, and decent punching power he could probably do pretty well in the lhw division... and unless he gets the lucien bute fight (and wins) or rematches kessler (and wins) his chances of a big super middle fight are kind of naught (just cos he's already fought everyone but bute, and he will never, ever, ever be able to beat ward... I wish, I wanted him to win so bad, but he will never be that good)

its always hard for me to believe that carl froch beat this cat (now dawson was coming on at the time of the header, but still), then got humiliated so badly by andre ward... styles make fights? (and glen johnson moved down to supermiddle and only looked good against green) or is it that the lhw div is really, criminally overrated? makes sense for why hopkins is still competing at his age after looking horrific against roy jones jr. in 2010
