This is one of the first scene combinations that I wanted to make. In the movie 'The Matrix Reloaded' the first time we see the Keymaker is in his cell, with the walls layered with the keys the audience is made to assume he has made. It is only in the video game 'Enter the Matrix' where we see the Merovingian locking him in his empty cell with only his tools. I wanted to impose that scene on the point where the Oracle mentions the two characters to Neo. This way they are visually established to the audience immediately. More-so the contrast between the two states of the cell so abruptly imply how fast the Keymaker works, it is comical. The quick transition between the Oracle telling Neo to visit the Merovingian, and the eventual visit to the Merovingian better illustrates the Merovingian's point about how good they are at "following orders".
One other adjustment that highlights one of the primary visual motifs of the film. The shot where Neo sees Rama Kandra escorted out of the Merovingian's restaurant serves as one of the major elements that links the films 'Reloaded' and 'Revolutions'. The color scheme serves to color code the various thematic and temporal differences. Everyone whom has seen the first Matrix knows that GREEN represents the matrix, BLUE represents the real world, and RED represents the red pill or the film's symbol for choice. Another color motif that is revealed in 'Reloaded' and more prominently in 'Revolutions' is a FIERY GOLDEN YELLOW. In Neo's "Matrix vision" it represents other machine programs, some have said represents "spirit", or I will contend represents the concept of love. As Rama Kandra explains to Neo in 'Revolutions' he betrays the Oracle out of love for his daughter. As in other instances in the films scenes where the characters are motivated to action out of an intense love or passion are accompanied by golden yellow flames or hue.
@professional80 Everything is a choice. Red can mean desire. The desire of knowledge, perhaps?

This was a well-done mini project. I also thought the "Choice is an illusion" concept deserved more attention.
On a separate note, where does RED represent choice? I can only think of the 'woman in the red dress' and obviously the 'red pill'
Thanks
