David Wood never meant to stop permanently in Yuma. He was leaving Ohio after 55 years for Las Vegas, to ease his recurring bronchitis and find new career opportunities in his profession, Land Surveying. While in Yuma, David learned the Nevada economy wasn't what he expected so he struck out to find employment in his new home. After searching unsuccessfully for more than a year, he visited the Goodwill of Central Arizona Career Center there. David was quickly hired as a Goodwill donation attendant. Shortly afterward, due to his excellent work ethic and "can-do" attitude, he was asked to take on a more formal and important role to oversee floor care for both Yuma Goodwill stores. After a long, cold unemployment spell, David found a new career, confidence and a great opportunity working with Goodwill. Goodwill of Central Arizona is excited about what the future holds for David!
