I was recently able to take part in history and attend the funeral of Evel Knievel. My mom and I were the first people in line to pay our last respects to "The World's Greatest Daredevil". Here is some of the footage I was able to capture, and my tribute to Evel Knievel. Rest in Peace Evel Knievel.

Did you know prior to his death Evel Knievel requested that his casket be launched across the Missouri River before it was put into the ground as a final hurrah but his request was denied by the Montana government.

evel knievel was my hero, I'm 52 use to jump trash cans on a bicyle,than a 100cc motorcycle.I rode down the street standing up on the seat hand s held out.Trying to be him.

It was so cool that we got to see Evel Knievel do his jumps on live T.V. back in the day. But it was sad to see him land the wrong way and get hirt badly but jumping his bikes and rockit but it was something he like to do. And that what made him a great American he had freedom.

I in the past have laughed at his crashes but that really bothered me to see him in that casket like that. R.I.P, EVEL!

I love that everyone has posted their own personal stories about their unique Evel experiences! I never had the chance to meet Evel himself, but I make it a point to visit his grave as often as possible, & say a few words to him, or maybe pound a shot of Wild Turkey or a can of Olympia in his honor. I'm 28 years old & I wish I had 1/2 the courage & strength that he had! I know that people thought he was an asshole, but he just told it like it was, which you can't find nowadays... LONG LIVE EVEL!
