You Found Me - Preface

Hey everyone :)
Since I did in fact delete all my other stories, I started focusing on one main idea that I'd love to share with you guys. I really like the story line, and I hope my writing does it justice, haha. Plus, I will admit that my eyes were tearing as I brainstormed the basic outline for the story. Enjoy!

--------------------------- Her somewhat auburn locks of hair danced as the wind from outside of the family's minivan raced inside. It hardly seemed like 12 months since the last time she's lived in North Carolina. To be honest, it seemed so surreal to be back in Charlotte. A minuscule smile touched upon her lips as her thoughts wondered back to when she used to play on these same streets. Back when her porcelain face held what you'd call a smile that would never be labeled as fake.




" Alright kids, move out." Her father, Billy, instructed, once he pulled up into their old driveway. In a matter of seconds, all three kids zoomed out, apart from Miley of course. Her light orbs glanced upon each part of the house from inside of the minivan. " Miley?" Billy called, turning around in his seat so he could meet her gaze, which to his dismay seemed far away. " Miles?"



She snapped back into reality and sharply turned her head to look at her father. " Yeah, Daddy?"




He chuckled, shaking his head slightly. " You want to get out or am I bringing in some blankets so you can sleep in here tonight?"




Rolling her eyes, Miley unbuckled her seat belt and slowly exited the car, inhaling and exhaling the familiar scent of their neighborhood.




" Welcome home." She whispered to herself, biting her lower lip.
