This is a promotional video for the Morpheus Laboratory located at the National Institute of Aerospace in Hampton, VA. At the Morpheus Lab, graduate students perform multi-disciplinary research with applications related to aerospace engineering. Some of this research includes:
* flapping wing (ornithopter) aircraft research in the form of:
.... aerodynamics modeling
.... dynamics and controls
.... flight control and data acquisition hardware development
.... passive and active morphing technologies
.... ornithopter design
* smart structures and materials research focusing on
.... spatially distributed sensors and actuators
.... spatial weighting of smart materials
.... Electro-active Polymer muscle actuators
.... Electro-active Polymer synthetic jets
.... nano-precision position actuators and control
.... actuator modeling, characterization, and system identification
* fixed wing aircraft research in
.... Lift Distribution Control
.... spatially distributed and optimized actuation
.... spatially distributed, conformal aerodynamic sensors
.... extended-endurance flight based on environmental energy extraction
Be sure to visit the Morpheus website at
research.nianet.org/morpheuslab and thanks for watching.
Does anyone know where you can buy electroactive polymer material???

This is excellent. I love the fact people can look in the skies, see a plane and explore the avenues and secrets of why that aircraft doesn't fall from the sky. People who push themselves to understand and ultimately create technology that benefits everyone.
Meanwhile, we have morons that look into the skies and spend their days speculating about chemtrails and boogieman NWO bullshit and pretending to make a difference.
