LOL!!! THAT IS SO TRUE!!!!!!! XD

He hesitates to buy the book because of that egregious remainder mark, top edge, near spine.

You forgot to get him to pay! You just GIVE him the book and he walks away... You will excel in business if you just get them to pay!!!

Well, you have to either find a way to not show it, or be comfortable showing it. I'm not! :) thanks!!

SO true. I work in a bookstore, and (while I was never trained to do this) I find it impossible to walk away from a customer without a final "thank you" that dismisses me from their service. I stand in front of them until they thank me...mostly, because I feel it would be really rude to walk off if they still need me for something. I'll occasionally prompt with an "anything else I can do for you?" and that usually gets the "no, thank you," and I can leave.

I swear, this kind of thing happens EVERY day at least once. I'm like, "Didn't your mama teach you basic human interaction skills? HELLO, please and thank you!" :)

What I hate is when you go find something for someone, who immediately turns to the person they are with and say "I found it!" You did NOT! I did. Jackass.
