i'm just 18 years old, but, i'v read some articles about paradise garage, and the history behind it, and i feel like, wich i was born in the 60's or something like that, clubbing today is just shit! it's all about how do u look, alchool, and A-List, or guest list as it's called here in portugal, my friends go clubing just to get a girl, and that's for me is just stupid, there is no fun, just by the music played in this vidios i'm itrying to imagin what it would b like, and i bet it was great.

By the time we were done (don't forget your sunglasses) it was daylight at 6am, the sun was beaming once you opened that door, we felt like vampires, lol, but it was awesome. We would go eat at a diner close by and then hit washing square park for a spell, then headed home. I slept straight through that day into the next evening, can't say I ever done that at another club since the garage, those were really great and joyful times.

Yes, yes, yes!!!! The Paradise Garage was one of a kind :-) !!!! This place was like no other, and Larry Levan definitely earned, deserved and hailed the title of Mix Master DJ. His skills were like no other in his time, yeah there were other DJ's that were great in this era but Larry Levan took it to a whole notha level. Man, the goal was to get there by midnight or at least 1am and dance, dance, dance, the mentality was I can recuperate when I get home, lol!!!!

@ Conapowa - It was great...The Paradise Garage was the shit back then!...I'm 56 now but we had a ball...It was nothing like it..........Somebody need to open that place back up again....A new Paradise Garage!

these were indeed the greatest of times, the garage and the loft on prince st. came to the garage on friday night, continued on to the loft till sunday morning.

I agree with the CONAPOWA comment above... People don't seem to appreciate music now a days. At least out of 200 people in the club only two would be there for the music the rest, simply to show off their new t-shirts or pair of pants....
