Generalization. Willingness to sacrifice is not the key to success. The torture he describes is the result of poor organization or poor planning. "Do whatever it takes" is a short-sighted, shoot-from-the-hip method that is a costly ego booster. This is like evangelists who demand sacrifice for a God who is perpetually having money problems. Success can be gained by being born athletic. As far as the rest of us, I suggest sleeping on it. Do not follow this guy into the deep water!
