  • Love the video!

I have lymphedema as well. I have had it since I was 10 (now i'm 19yrs). It just came up after chearleading and never went away. I have it in my right foot and lower left leg. I used to do the wrappings as well before I went to bed, but now I have the elastic stockings which I can wear during the day and it which works excellent! I never wrap at night now (don't have to). I really do hate it though, but I'm starting to accept the way I am.

  • @KimmS23 I know what you mean! And some days I accept it and other days I am pissed and dont want to accept it! :)

  • Love this video!! I too have lymphedema in my left leg due to a total knee dislocaton w/compartment syndrome. I have not wrapped my leg in a very long time, so therefore I have a pretty big leg. Can you or anyone else recommend where to order supplies? You've inspired me to start my regimen again...plus I'm tired of the stares from others.

  • @goldenbrown39 I have not ordered in a long time and cant find the name of the place i had used... I will just google it when I need some... if you find a good plac...share!

  • How did the lymphedema start?

  • mine was caused by injury

  • Can you please clarify one doubt? I am having primary lymphedema on my right leg from foot up to thighs. I am student, so in the day time it is really painful effort to do this kind of bandaging and wear pants. Hence usually I wear stockings in the daytime and do massaging and bandaging before going to bed. Is it okay to have bandaging in elevated legs during bed time?

  • I'm just curious, how long do you have to leave the compression bandages on? Can you wear them under clothes and preform normal daily life functions? Just concerned because I have swelling in the legs that so far has been controlled with a diuretic but my doctor wants to talk to me latter this week about the problem. I'm hoping it's not this, but if it is I'd like to learn as much as possible. Thanks

  • i love this usefull video , i have lymphodema in my right leg , i live in algeria , so i can t find all those stuff here , but fortunately i have met a very kind woman from canada , she sent me all what i need to start my bandaging soon i hope so

  • Peggy,

Thanks so much for this awesome video. I have to learn to do this myself and suck it up, arrr. Right now my left leg is swollen, esp the thigh!!! I didn't know you could wrap the thigh and get it to stay! I'm using clips too!! Thanks again!! ..Myra

  • "Wyatt Rehab" is the top center around for treating Lymphedema- they are in NJ

  • there is a new garment called farrow wraps for people like us with lymphedema me i have lipo-lymphedema i had since i was a child born with they said but the wraps are velcro and easy to ally and are so wonderful i will be posting a video on here soon on how they work .. i have it in both leggs my daughter to me i look the the tire guy too mine are white ..when i first started to wrap.

  • Diagnosed with lymphedema about four months ago - I'm doing the bandaging and daily massage right now, should be getting my custom-fit compression stockings in about two weeks. I'm not thrilled with the time-consuming treatment, but when you look at the worst-case scenario (elephantiasis)... I'm just thankful my condition was caught early! This is a great video demonstrating bandaging.

  • love it! wheatgrass juice helps get rid of lymphedema

  • thanks for that amazing post... I no longer feel alone. I also have lymphedema on my left leg, and it developed 5 years ago. Does it affect your work or activities?

It affect in all I do, i can't go out in a skirt because people just look at u and always ask me questions. I can only wear certain shoes for not all styles fit.

so my social life is limited by this condition.

My lymphedema has been controlled with the bandages, massages, and stockings.. but it is a pain in the back, how u do it?
