Mt. Taranaki, is an active but quiescent stratovolcano in the Taranaki region on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. The 2518-metre-high mountain is one of the most symmetrical volcanic cones in the world. There is a secondary cone, Fanthams Peak, on the south side. Because of its resemblance to Mount Fuji, Taranaki provided the backdrop for the movie The Last Samurai.

This FSX flyby passes east then south of the Volcano.

  • Thanks beebea9

It took me a while to learn how to fly the Dash 8 before I could do this flyby. Still lots more tolearn!

  • Hi BeeBea9

Your Mt. Blanc flyby is up. Check it out and see how it looks.

I might re do it flying east to west. The lighting seems better that way
