Wii Monster Hunter 3 Tri Wii Speak Test & Calibration #1

Trying out Wii Monster Hunter Tri with Wii Speak.

Adjusted sound settings in Monster Hunter. *Did not* adjust settings in the Wii Speak channel. This is about the best sound quality we got.

I recommend turning down music in the game, as well as lowering the sound effects volume. You'll see I lowered the game's voice output volume as well. I set my 5.1 system to stereo and turned the volume down a touch to lessen feedback for other players.

After this video was filmed, I set the Wii's sound settings to 'mono', as per Wii Speak channel recommendation. (You can adjust mic sensitivity there too.) I also experimented with bringing the Wii Speak much closer to me. That is not shown in this video.

@puchigarden Ever since Counter Strike, I've always preferred voice comms to keyboards. For all the hissing and screeching Wii Speak does, it's faster to talk than it is to type. So your decision is speed or sound quality. If you are still unsure, see if you can borrow a cheap USB keyboard and see how you get along with that.

@Schmidteren If by headset you mean 'headphones with a microphone', then I don't believe you can. From what I can tell Wii Speak is the only microphone available.

@BowProStudios Yes - I think the 'everyone else' version makes more sense. I think of theatres as a place with real live actors in.

Would you recommend Wii Speak since I don't have a keyboard, I've been thinking about getting it for a while now, but I'm unsure whether it's going to make my life easier or just be a waste of money~! Anyone can respond, I just want to know opinions~!
