I've always wondered why this was never played live. It's my all time favorite Genesis song with Phil on vocals.

@thelurker25 genesis haven't revealed why they didn't perform those songs and I was asked and that's why I said MAYBE because I don't know. I know about WOTW for sure. Plus they were already performing No Son Of Mine, Jesus He Knows Me, Driving The Last Spike, I Can't Dance, Hold On My Heart, Dreaming While You Sleep and Fading Lights from the album so I don't think they wanted to play anymore than needed. And that's right I said THINK!

@Laserkev lol - wrong again based on assumptions. Listen to recordings from this tour again. You'll notice there were a lot of key changes from the album versions - especially on tracks like I Can't Dance, Tonight x3, Invisible touch, etc. If it was a key issue on Never A Time, it could easily have been modified.

@LEON46051 They didn't ignore the song, they couldn't find a way to finish the song, plus the setlist was mostly filled with WCD songs anyway: NSOM/JHKM/ICD/DTLS/FL/HOMH/DWYS.

It's not speculation, it was either mike tony or phil that said they couldn't find a good way to end the song, look it up.
