combine rubber stamp images with encaustic art to create quick simple pieces of artwork that convey specific ideas. The rubber stamps give the message and the encaustic art wax creates the environment for that stamped image. silhouette stamps are best for this, but clip art printed on an inkjet is great too - use the correct encaustic art card stock!

  • Hello, you mention "Dye pad" and not "Ink pad", but wherever I search, it's called "Dye Ink Pad". Could you explain this, please? What do we need to get?

  • @Alcator There are 2 types of ink pads - Dye pads or Pigment pads. Pigments are ground up material so they have a dusty quality which smudges if the iron is wiped across them with wax. Dye Ink Pads are coloured with dyes which are chemical colourants and are not dusty particles. So these dye inks attach to the substrate (card or paper) in effect staining that area without any surface particles of dust. When use with the iron and wax they remain unaffected and do not smudge.
