Exploring a large marsh, then heading along a very piney woods road that goes along side the marsh. What's different here is quite a few of the pines appear to be Shortleaf pines, which resemble Pitch Pine but have shorter needles. Then I pass over a river and see what looks like blackjack oaks growing near the picnic area.

  • Yeah, I got a good picture of it I sent to you.

  • Okay. That was the oak at around 9:22, that you were looking at for several seconds. You thought it might be Blackjack Oak. I think it might be as well, but can't be sure without a picture or two.

  • Yeah I heard the hawk also but couldn't find it. I'll have to send you a photo of that tree, just tell me at what time in the video.

  • Yeah man, lots of great shapes! It looks like you found yourself some shortleaf pines. Cool. Near the end when you were standing on the bridge and you commented on seeing your shadow, I heard a hawk. And that oak tree with the brilliant red color, it might have been a Blackjack Oak, but I would need to see a good quality picture to be sure. Video just isn't the same.

Anway, I enjoyed this part too.
