@tazzym1 for all citizens, get over the fact it's not you, you're using one of those pieces of crown property are you not? Get over the bill w/ name thing you're in another world, play or leave. Why rebut a bill? Why not just settle it? Who said anything about paying it? You just need that effect.

@imposteryau Sorry If my previous posting was Incorrect - Please may I ask you a couple of questions? "Rebut the public notice" ??? This notice - does it Name us? They send a bill with our Names on to our houses - why not rebut that? Then if demand does turn up - "settle it and close the account" - do you mean to just pay it?

@tazzym1 you have to rebut the public notice in the local rag (or wherever thy post it, call and ask), not the demand, the implied contract is already there by that point. If you get a demand then settle it and close the account. imo

My understanding is that the Council Tax is a Yearly Contract -Once it lands on yourstep if you DO NOT Rebut their Presumption that you will Agree/Consent to their Offer/Terms & Conditions, their Bill stands as Agreed - So as soon as it lands DO NOT IGNORE OR THROW IN BIN - send it back RETURN TO SENDER, NO CONSENT TO CONTRACT, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, WITHOUT RECOURSE, NON ASSUMPTIT, - thats just my take on things - Council Tax "Act" requires our Consent to give it the Force of Law :) Peace
