Only try this at your own risk. I'm not responsible if you ruin your GoPros because you didn't follow my step by step instructions. Other than that I hope this help. lol

For anyone who now has a bricked camera, you probably downgraded from v222 using this method. It doesn't work right (like it should). Check out the unbrick method I came up with on my youtube page. YadaYada, you may want to link it in your description to help people unbrick their HERO2. Enjoy.

You guys are missing a step probably. Are you guys sure you are following the video exactly? Also make sure you have your Gopro not plugged in if you are seeing the battery symbol. Unplug it and do the steps I showed on the video.

I folowed your instructions and now gopro is no good anymore its even worse freezes as soon as it comes on and buttons dont work.It also wont connect to computer anymore i have took battery out 10 times.

Sounds like the update did not even take on your gopro. You still have the newest firmware in there. Try formatting your sdcard and start fresh.

same here happened, put the sd card in your computer delete old firmware copy new v222 firmware back and then go to cineform connect gopro and re update to 222 it should work again, when it asks to unplug and turn on again so the update can complete unplug it then throw the sd ccard back in your computer and swap the firmware to v124 and back into your gopro and turn it on, it worked for me!

Does this firmware update work for Mac? I get the press 1, 2 and then my device says press 3 and then freezes. Any ideas?
