The bodhran maker was Jimmy "The Boy" Murphy , from Kilamery , in the parish of Windgap in Co Kilkenny . Alas , Jimmy passed away some 20 years ago .

Cill Chuillinn is Kilcullen, Co Kildare. It was a half barony, formed in 1672

hello michelle, i think the place your looking for is in the very south of co kilkenny. its actually just over the river from waterford city by a place called rath nua or newrath.

from what i can gather the name has changed in spelling to cill choilchin or kilculliheen. you can search for it on google maps.

OK, I know nothing about gaelic (nor Irish place names), but hunting through the Irish Placenames Database, I found a Cill Cholláin (Kilcollan) in Kilkenny. The first place though is an odd one. There's a common street name "Coill an Leamháin" (Elmwood). My best guess is Seamus Ó Murchadha of (some street), Kilcollan, County Kilkenny

I have seen a video of Planxty doing the hackler from grouse hall and Donal Lunny is playing a similar drum, with the cross wire at the back, THanks for the great videos, off to the local for a session...
