In Present lot he is the best male singer.

In another drama (Arup Ratan) however it is written as ‘hanbe’ suggesting not to give in to the falsity (bhul hanbe) sang by Surangama reflecting the conflict of being influenced by outward look rather than the truth of heart.

There were a lot of good singers and most of them are dead and among the new singers he is very good.

It is little disheartening to watch eminent artist like Srikanto singing Rabindra Sangeet with wrong wording. All the line ending with ‘ki’ he sang as ‘ke’. Other minor point in Shapmochon this song first line is bahire bhul bhanglo (not hanbe) by the deformed king who is questioning his disillusion queen (bhul bhanga) if her love will overcome his outward deformed look.
