From the Whole Foods on Roosevelt Ave, a great view of the approach to Chicago Union Station. Saw the Texas Eagle and the California Zephyr, along with a triple meet, three trains inbound at the same time.
1:02 to 1:29 All the times ive been to Chicago ive wondered what that bascule bridge in the background went to? Every time ive been up there it has been up as long as i can remember and im almost 40!
@cojocarius Chicago Union Station currently does not have an electrified line. However, the Metra Electric Line and the South Shore Line both service Millenium Terminal, the only electrified hub station in the city.
@VIA909 thats the new MP-36PH , their are going to replace all the F-40ph's that are currently being used in cities nationwide , like MBTA , METRA , MARC , VRE , AMTRAK , CAL TRAIN , UTA ( its basically the new version of the f40ph , way faster , stronger , lighter , reaaaaaaaaally fuel efficiant , doesnt cost as much money to repair , eco friendly , its pretty tall though , thats why amtrak hasnt bought any to use in the nec but their planning to buy some for other routes to replace old P40s
