In a scenario set up to debunk astrology, Jeffrey Armstrong completely outshines Michael Shermer in a way that any scientist should say is "statistically interesting."
The SCENARIO: Jeffrey reads NINE charts in about TWENTY minutes. Most charts are usually given an hour of study each. EXPERIMENT I: face-to-face reading with a skeptic. The subject, afterwards, said Jeffrey's reading "officially blew me away." EXPERIMENT II: Nine "blind" readings. Results: 105 of 137—or 77%—of Jeffrey's statements deemed accurate, ALL scores 63% or over, high of 89%. EXPERIMENT III: The kicker. Two of the nine, unbeknownst to Jeffrey or the subjects, have their charts switched. Accuracy rating drops to 38 and 21% respectively. Switched back to true charts, accuracy goes to 94 and 92%.

@cosmicfugue because you have the freedom to reject or accept whatever influences you want. Astrology merely gives you a map of what, where, and when those influences are. according to vedic astrology the soul is the senor cause of causes.
"Astrology doesn't work" For what? I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it until you understand it.. what its used for, what exactly it is meant to tell you.. and when you are using it for its intended purpose.
People who believe in this astrology nonsense need to watch the Carl Sagan's video on this pseudo science. He absolutely destroys it using real science.
You guys are so delusional. Yes, the statements are vague but are you freaking blind? When they switched charts on two people, they got significantly lowered accuracy, in fact their readings was as false as the other readings were true. What that means is that this guy's system works, although it's not 100% accurate, but no astrologer will claim that. If this was conducted on a bigger scale, like with 1000 people, and with the same result, then it would prove that astrology is valid.
Science - you mean the one that created chemicals, GM Seeds, military hardware, global warming ..stuff like that or spooky theories like wave/particle theory? Western Science is purely objective - based on logic/reasoning/equations alone. So it cannot explain a simple thing like love. We know so little about the universe and the way it works that you have to be God to reject any theory without trying it out first. Ask the physicists.
those who think western science alone is science don't understand the scientific method of inquiry, observation and proof. have you tried to study and observe vedic astrology or you think you are too smart to even look at the facts ?
