In SHTF/WROL situations food will be hyper important when you realize you can't afford fresh food anymore. Eating canned food will sustain you but it can't replace fresh food. Many people are on here showing food storage and I have it too but you can't store a fresh tomato or a salad. Also, if you have fresh food it's gonna be worth MONEY.

  • why not use the first nut on the inside, isn't it less thick? great vids by the way, been looking into this

  • @thegoodgreen1 I put a matching nut on the inside. It works really well but I think I'd buy a worm farm if you really want to get into it. I didn't want to spend a 100 bucks and find out I killed the worms PLUS it seemed like a fun little project. I'm thinking of investing in one now... I've just about filled the first tray and I'm getting ready to add the second tray (bucket) and begin putting material in it to get the worms to move up. Guess I need to do another update when I do that.

  • How to the worms migrate up through those buckets with that furnace filter in each bucket?

  • @SuperKing613 LOL... see, that is why we prep! I may take you up on that offer too! It's a really scary thing to think about and it looks inevitable at this point. Our politicians are too busy trying to get re-elected to actually do something about the problem, even if it really hurts. Our president is a communist oaf, hell bent on destroying this country and all the good it stands for.

  • @SuperKing613 SHTF = shit hits the fan I'm a prepper, meaning that we prepare for all possible disasters that could happen. As the economy continues to crash and prices continue to go up, I would say the S is hitting the fan. Growing your own food is a good place to start. SHTF worms make great fertilizer as worm castings. Hope that helps! It has nothing really to do with the worm farm itself though... :)

  • @NeoPrepper what does shtf stand for?

  • @laidbackguy1972 Yeah, you could. I don't own one or I may have done just that. Forgot what a pain it was scraping off the shavings with a putty knife. Great idea!
