Thanks bigdbla, yes, they will be ammending the regulations for LSA's in the future for less restrictions. I am an instrument rated pilot working on my commercial now, having just stated out last summer @ 53 years old. I flew in a couple different LSA's, and like the Flight Design the best of them all. For the initial cost compared to the long term investment a LSA is a no-brainer.
You can fly these IFR and night VFR, provided the pilot is properly rated (not a sport pilot). You're not supposed to fly an S-LSA into IMC, unless it's already registered. It's confusing. That's all going to change soon as SLSAs continue to gain in popularity.
