Here is my take on how to make a Skrillex slash Deadmau5 sounding dubstep.
Here are some things you will need.
1. download the Cool Story Dude Step *.als file http://www.mediafire.com/?q25hrpubzpb3pqr study the way he uses side chain compression n stuff, mastering ect.
2. Head on over to dubspot here on youtube to check out there tutorials on iZotope Ozone 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuYjo_UC8zI
3. Buy the Dada Life - The Sausage Fattener‏ @ www.dadalife.com
4. Use Massive with the Osc set to Modern Talking - 24

Btw if you don't know what happens to audio when you over compress it or smash it in to a limiter with the gain on blast you just lose certain artifacts and you reduce your dynamic range. If you don't get it read up on it. Especially if your into production.

Skrillex would never be what he is today if it was not for deadmau5. you know why because most of the initial hits where based of the mau5 posting link to skrillex stuff raving about how much he loved his music.
