On the 7th, 8th and 9th of October, the severn valley railway held their first big diesel gala, with their usual home fleet, plus 31190, D9520 and 25262. Due to problems with 50044, 50031 replaced it on the Friday and Saturday, but while I was on it on Saturday, 50031 coasted to a halt just north of Bewdley with a stalled engine. Due to flat batteries, it could not be restarted, and 31190 was summonded to rescue us, so here is the footage of 50031 doing what it does best was before the failure, and of 31190 dragging us back after it, creating a serious racket in the process. Enjoy
