Every movie or game always has some throw-away character die for dramatic effect, but this shouldn't have been the case in Rocky IV (mainly because Apollo aint a throw-away character). Though the movie now ends a bit sooner, this chain of events is far better than the original.

Forget the fact that Ivan Drago is a fictional, roid-raged monster and I do think in real life a fighter like Apollo Creed would beat a guy with similar skills. I'm thinking Muhammad Ali in his prime vs one of the Klitschko brothers.

Rocky 4 is the only one I don't like in Rocky series. It's so fucking based on stereotypes. All Russians are evil and dumb and hellova tough (with negative effect)? WTF? These movies only feed people's fear and superstitions instead of making realistic characters. They are very good for governments to support cold war mood in people. And people pay money for it. Only to say: "I knew all Russian were like that!" Whereas you know nothing, confident douche.
