John Reese's 2009 Nissan GT-R R35 (him driving) running 10.802@126.54 in the 1/4 mile. Record 60ft: 1.51!

Orlando Speedworld on December 7, 2008. Temperature was about 62F. It was a new GT-R record at the moment of the run.

Car Mods: HKS GT570 Kit w/ ECU tweaks, Amuse exhaust, Harman Motive intake.

@porsche944tt The GTR did the Ring in 7:24.22. The Zr1: 7:26.4. Even the older 09 GTR did it in 7:26.70. You have to admit that a car (GTR) with a 485HP V6 weighing 3800LBS is that fast. ZR1 638HP V8 weighing 3,352LBS.

@dankebuddha while I agree the 5.0 is impressive ESPECIALLY around the turns I mean it was a tick off beating the new 414HP M3. I will say that IMO the C6ZO6 with high ten capability 1/4 mile ET with ONLY a drag radial in negative DA IS still KOTH for bang for buck. Now the 2012 GTR is going to go high 10's bone stock stock tires but is still about 17K more than a C6Z. C6Z ZO7 is about the same as the 2012 GTR. Not sure which I'd rather have at that price point. 2.89 0-60 on the street is killer

R35 is not a skyline :S for what i know they don't make these R35's with the inline-6 engine. So, not a Skyline

The GT-R has also retained its Skyline predecessor's nickname, Godzilla.
