I made this for a final in my Media Productions class, fall 1998. The requirements of the final was to make a music video about our school. First music video I've done and my favourite.

The song is "We've Got A World That Swings" by They Might Be Giants.

Please excuse any audio sync issues. This was pulled off VHS and I had to reinsert the audio track due to hifhi/lofi issues.

  • Great video mate!

TMBG is my favourite band, and you did them justice with this music video!

    ;)

  • Thank you!

  • how do u make the clips correspond to ur audio or lyrics????...i want to make my own music video but i dont know where to start...

  • This was made on a linear s-video editing machine eight years ago, not on a computer.

If you want to do it on your computer you need to use some kind of software, for example: iMovie (Mac), Windows Movie Maker (Windows), Adobe Premiere (Mac & Windows), LiVES (multi-platform), or Cinelerra (Linux).

I lip sync'd the song when recording the video then laid the various video sequences over it. It's a manual process, but it's not too difficult.

  • I've watched this so many times. This guy should pursue a career in acting. He has such a presence. I can see him in comedy.
