  • I am currently sporting a moustache, but I shave the top part to make it thinner. I've been using a multiblade cartridge but I need to see what I am doing in order to make the moustache straight. So I usually just wet the moustache area and rub a thin layer of the common low quality shaving cream over the area so it isn't totally opaque. I'm switching to a DE razor quality cream and brush, what would you recommend I do to continue shaping my stache? I can't seem to find any tips online.

  • @nighserenity I'm sorry but I cannot help you with maintaining a mustache, I've never grown one.

  • I've been using an antique DE for a while and I'm trying to decide between a Parker 89R, 91R, and a Merkur HD. Do you have any suggestions for a smooth, close shave without too much aggresiveness?

  • @ElegyForTheMasses consider a Weishi DE razor. While not quite to the the quality level of a Merkur, they are quite gentle.

  • Im not sure how I stumbled on your videos but now that I have watched them it convinced me to purchase a merkur saftey razor. My problem and question is, how to get the hair that is immediately under your nose. I seem to be able to hit that area with the precision blade with the Fusion but not with my safety razor. Any ideas??

  • @LaMusicaDeDiablo I don't know, I just move my nose to the side and I can do it. Maybe use your Fusion trimmer for that area until your technique improves with practice?

  • Me too -I love shaving now - it's no longer a 5 minute chore, it's a half hour indulgence to myself.

  • Your videos got me to buy a traditional safety razor last year. Thanks!

  • WOW!!! This actually work. I tried this after I saw this vid. It's all about technique. Thanks.

  • I really hate shaving this part. SN pass in this area kills me all the time.

  • a great reason to switch to straight razor

  • @daboss212 probably because you need to adjust your angle for every millimeter as it's a very contoured area

This is what I've been doing. I received a Merkur long handled razor for an early Father's Day gift. I've shaved ~7 times thus far. My only cuts are actually on the lower rim of my nostril, as I try to angle the blade the right way to get those last few hairs beneath my nose. These nose cuts are nasty and bleed quite a bit.

Until I get better with the razor I use the merkur for the rest of the face, and the Fusion precision blade under my nose.
