yes steetley has gone,the wagons are still there,last used about three years ago. there are 3 class56's in use with fastline

i used to live right on that line where it went through blackhall colliery. i lived right on the end of the blackhall end of the viaduct between us and horden. many a great day as a kid watching the coal trains going up and down, and also oil, and spent nuclear fuels going from hartlepool to sellafield

thanks for this vid..i have lived on the headland all my life and this brings back great memories of walking along old cemetary road and stopping to watch the trains and shunts as a young un even though i am not a train fan in general i love to see the thundering diesels and the noise and rumble they produce

my dad used to work on the Hartlepool railway in the 50's

I used to be signal technician that maintained that stretch of rail, back in the good old days of BR. Steetley's all gone now I think? The movie brings back some good memories, and nice to see a class 56, I don't think they are in service anymore, are they?.
